Biography
Dr. Mindy Wilkerson was trained in medical technology at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield Missouri. She received DVM and MS degrees from the University of Missouri, Columbia (1989) and PhD and Anatomic Pathology residency training from Washington State University (1994). She is board certified in Veterinary Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. She has taught veterinary immunology and trained clinical pathology residents in clinical pathology for 20 years at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Research interests focus on clinical pathology, development of novel serological and molecular diagnostic tests for vector borne diseases. Dr. Wilkerson’s current research projects include studies on Ehrlichia and Anaplasma spp. infections in dogs and ruminants of Grenada and establishment of hematology and biochemical reference intervals on local dogs in Grenada.
