    Mohit Preet Kaur

    Mohit Preet Kaur

    Assistant Professor, Pathophysiology

    Biography

Dr. Kaur earned her MBBS and MD in Dermatology from Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, India. Her postgraduate research centered on allergic contact dermatitis, with a focus on patch testing and immunopathogenesis. This work cultivated her long-standing interest in the links between dermatology, immunology, and systemic disease.

For the past five years, Dr. Kaur has worked as a medical educator and researcher, currently serving as Chair and Content Manager of Pathophysiology. In this role, she leads curriculum development, assessment design, and faculty coordination, ensuring alignment of basic science principles with clinical application. Her teaching portfolio spans cardiology, hematology, renal, dermatology, hepatopancreatic, and multisystem disorders, where she emphasizes integration of mechanisms of disease with clinical reasoning.

Her research interests extend beyond dermatology to the pathophysiology of hematologic and immune-mediated diseases as well as scholarship in medical education. She is particularly focused on developing evidence-based strategies that enhance diagnostic reasoning, active learning, and knowledge retention in medical students.

With her dual background in clinical dermatology and medical education leadership, Dr. Kaur is uniquely positioned to contribute to both disease-focused investigations and educational research. Her academic vision is to advance knowledge that strengthens understanding of disease mechanisms while improving the preparation of future physicians.
