Biography
A results-oriented and driven professional, Rachael serves as an Assistant Dean and Deputy Director, as well as an Assistant Professor in the online MBA Programs within the Department of Business and Management Studies (BMS) at the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS). She possesses an MBA and a BSc in Psychology, both obtained from Cameron University in Oklahoma, and has accumulated over 9 years of experience in the business sector, having previously worked for The National Commercial Bank, G’da Ltd., along with 17 years at St. George’s University, which includes 13 years in academia.
In her role as Assistant Dean and Deputy Director of the Division of Continuing Education, Professional Development, and eLearning, Rachael assists the Director in developing, organizing, and implementing faculty development initiatives aimed at enhancing online learning activities, as well as creating online continuing education and professional development courses and programs, among other responsibilities.
Rachael teaches students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, aiming to inspire and challenge them to achieve both academic and personal excellence. By employing constructive and effective teaching methods, she consistently endeavors to foster an engaging and stimulating learning environment for her students. Since 2013, as a lecturer in the MBA Programs (MBA in International Business and MBA in Multi-Sector Health Management), Rachael has taught graduate courses such as Critical Analytical Business Thinking, Ethics & Management, Communications in Cross-Cultural Environments, Modern Organisational Theory and Design, and Leadership and Management for International Business. Additionally, she instructs business courses in the undergraduate programs, including Leadership, Conflict and Negotiation, and Business Ethics.
The onset of COVID-19 crisis opened an opportunity for research and so, Rachael is currently pursuing a PhD in Management at St. George’s University, with a focus on Adaptive Leadership and Crisis Management in Higher Education within Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
