CityDoctors Scholarship
Scholarships up to full tuition! Recipients of the CARE Scholarships will be awarded partial, half, or full tuition while enrolled at St. George’s University each year.

Have you always wanted to give back to urban communities? Now is your chance…
St. George’s University is proudly partnered with NYC Health + Hospitals—the largest municipal healthcare system in the US—to help alleviate the doctor shortage in the Big Apple and is awarding partial-tuition scholarships to qualified1 students.
- The demand for physicians, especially in urban areas, is expected to increase as the current physician workforce ages and retires.
- The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) predicts a shortage of 46,000-90,000 physicians by 20252.
1) To be considered for scholarships you must be a permanent resident of New York City for the past five-years, have graduated from a New York City high school, college, or university, and be a full-time employee or have a parent or grandparent who is a full-time employee of either the City of New York or NYC Health + Hospitals.
