    Apply to SGU School of Veterinary Medicine

    Two Term Starts and Two Ways to Apply.

    SGU offers you the flexibility of two different entry terms and two convenient ways to apply. Programs are offered in both August and January. You can apply using the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS) or you can apply using the SGU direct application.

    Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS)

    The Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS) is a centralized application program.
    Students applying through VMCAS will submit all supporting documentation to VMCAS directly.

    SGU does not require a supplemental application or an additional application fee.

  • SGU Direct Application

    SGU accepts direct applications on a rolling basis. The final deadline for receipt of applications is April 15 for the August term, and November 15 for the January term.

  • What Do I Need to Apply to SGU?

    Application
    Apply through the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS). Alternatively, you can apply directly by completing the SGU application or by submitting a verified PDF VMCAS application from the current cycle.

    Supporting Documents
    (These can be submitted at a later date.)

    • Official transcript(s) from each College/University and/or professional school that you have attended
    • Two letters of recommendation, one (1) is recommended from a veterinarian.

    Application Fee Payment

    This form is for applicants who meet one of the following conditions:

    • You submitted an online application without a fee payment
    • You submitted a “paper” application without a fee payment
    • You have been contacted by our staff regarding an unsuccessful attempt to process your application fee payment

PayPal is a free payment service which enables you to make secure payments online for purchased goods and services without revealing your financial information to the seller. If you are not familiar with this payment service,  visit the PayPal website to learn how to create a personal PayPal account that is linked to your credit or debit card.

    If you wish to make your payment via a PayPal account, please complete the form below and click on the Buy Now button. It is very important that the name and date of birth are provided for the admission applicant (who may or may not be the payer on the PayPal account). You will also have the opportunity to include additional information in the “Special instructions to the seller” portion of the payment page.

    If you are unable to successfully complete an electronic payment, you may pay by check (drawn on a US bank account) payable to St. George’s University.

    An Application Fee is not required for the School of Medicine.
