Student Health Clinic
University Health Services (UHS) provides support to the University community: students, faculty, administrative staff members, and families. The UHS provides a wide variety of services, from primary health care to off-hours urgent care. Besides medical care and critical care assessment, UHS offers referrals to local physicians and to the SGU Counseling services. Our mission is for all members of the SGU community to stay healthy and, in the event of a lapse in health, to treat them quickly and professionally so that health and equilibrium are regained speedily.
University Clinics
Grenada Clinic Location
The clinic is located on the main campus in Carriacou Hall Ground floor.
Hours of Operation
The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Physicians are in attendance from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Vaccinations are administered daily. Routine blood work is drawn every day between 7:30 AM-12:00 Noon. Ultra Sound services are available daily from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Appointments are necessary for immediate families of students, staff, faculty and outpatients.
Off Hours
Duty Nurse is on call 24 hours daily. A Physician is on call from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM , Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. These providers are reached by calling the Resident Assistant or Duty Nurse. The Duty Nurse on call can be contacted at (473) 407-2791 or through Security, 444-3898 or 777.
Acute Care
All acute care cases are referred to the Grenada General Hospital or to a local private clinic. Occasionally, cases are referred to Trinidad, Barbados, or to the United States.
Service Costs
Cost for consultation is EC $85.00. Laboratory work, medications, and vaccinations are charged to the patient at cost.

UHS facilitates air evacuation on the Grenada campus if necessary.

Please be advised: If you are on any medications, be sure to bring enough to last longer than your anticipated stay. Your particular medication may not be available in Grenada.
