AFTER ACCEPTANCE
BOOK YOUR FLIGHT
Students living on campus may arrive during the specified time period, prior to mandatory orientation, as outlined in your acceptance letter. Please be sure to book early as fare rates increase and flights become limited. Contact our travel agent, Amex GBT, at custravel@amexgbt.com or (669) 272-1295 for help with booking flights.
CONNECT WITH US ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Our accepted student Facebook group makes it easy for you to connect with your incoming classmates. There are also admissions officers available to answer questions.
COMPLETE YOUR REQUIRED ADMISSION FORMS
Any student attending St. George’s University must complete the required admission forms prior to starting. These forms are the University Honor Code and the Entering Students Questionnaire. Links to both forms can be found below.
SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT DETAILS
A copy of your passport details page is required to be sent to SGU prior to your departure. Please scan or take a photo of the details page (containing your photo and your passport information) and email it to your admissions coordinator or to admission@sgu.edu. Looking for more information about passports and visas? Visit the link below.
SUBMIT YOUR PHOTO FOR THE SGU ID BADGE
All incoming students will be issued an official University student ID badge. Student ID badges are required to complete the registration process and then to access campus buildings, orientation activities, classes, and University transportation. For more information visit the University ID Badge page at the link below.
APPLY FOR DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS
Students seeking accommodations for disabilities are required to contact Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services (SAAS) located in the Dean of Students Office (DOS). We highly recommend applying for accommodations as early as possible. Requests should be submitted via email to the SAAS Office at dosaa@sgu.edu. Visit the link below for more information regarding SAAS.
AFTER DEPOSIT
SET UP YOUR SGU EMAIL ACCOUNT
Email addresses are created within 48 business hours of a deposit being received. SGU will use your alternate email address to notify you that your account has been created and provide instructions on how to access your new SGU email address through the student portal, Carenage. Additional information regarding your SGU email can be found at the link below.
COMPLETE YOUR HOUSING APPLICATION
All incoming students must fill out a housing application whether they plan to live on- or off-campus. To log into the housing portal, use the same credentials you use to access Carenage and Student Self Service. If the portal is at maximum capacity when you attempt to log in, you may be prompted to try back at a later time. Housing portal and procedures can be found on our website at the link provided below.
FINANCIAL AID
If you are seeking financial aid, please make sure that you contact your financial aid counselor for more information on how to complete your loan process. If you are not receiving aid, please make sure to tell your financial aid counselor you will not need funding.
HEALTH INSURANCE
It is SGU policy that all students maintain adequate health insurance and must confirm existing coverage. All students must either elect into or waive out of the plan. For information on how to elect into or waive out of the student health insurance plan, please see the Student Health Insurance Information section of CARENAGE. For enrollment assistance, please contact (631) 665-8500 ext. 1350 or email medins@sgu.edu.
