Chelsea Wilson was a veterinarian for Halloween at age 5 and knew she wanted to be a vet when she watched the vet take out staples from her dog after her spay. She is now living her dream studying term 2 online and getting as much experience as she can.
Brittney Kilgore always knew she wanted to be a vet, and attended zoo camps at a very young age. Today, she is a term 4 SVM student and is only 2 years away from her dream career.
4th-year SVM student Brittnee Frizol had her first equine experience at the age of 2. “Now I get to treat them!”
Jade Basha practiced surgery at her parents’ clinic at the age of 5. Now she is a term 1 SVM student, following in the family footsteps.
Tiffany McIlroy always wanted to be a vet and began caring for her stuffed animals at age 4. Today she is a 4th-year SVM student doing her clinical year at Washington State University.
Gianninne Bedoya Nader, DVM ’16, always knew she wanted to specialize in cardiology. Today she is a third-year medical and interventional cardiology resident at Purdue University.
Adriana has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember, and two years ago, she was given her white coat as she recited her oath to protect animal welfare. In two more years, she’ll be Dr. Dri and adding DVM to her name!
Francisco Torrado, DVM ’12, dreamed of the day he would be a veterinarian and all the things that would come with it. Today, he is a husband, father, a practice owner, a county sheriff’s dog veterinarian, and the president of SGU’s Florida Chamber Alumni Association.
Janet Weistock, DVM ’04, was so thrilled when she got accepted to St. George’s. No matter where she went to vet school, she was going to have to move, so why not a beautiful Caribbean island? “Little did I know I would get the best education, meet some amazing people from all over the world, and live on an island that is still one of my favorite places in the world.”
