Director of Financial Aid
Diane Beltrani has been the director of financial aid at SGU since 2008. She brings more than 30 years of experience to the University, joining after serving in director positions at Dowling College and Adelphi University, and as an account executive at Sallie Mae.
As director of financial aid, Ms. Beltrani is responsible for the University’s conformity to the complex and dynamic regulatory environment inherent in government-sponsored aid programs. She oversees the University’s compliance with US federal and Canadian federal/provincial regulations, as well as SGU’s procedures regarding the awarding and disbursement of federal and University financial aid funds. She also provides direct leadership and supervision of the financial aid operations to ensure staff offers the highest level of customer service to students.
Diane is a member of the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA), the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (EASFAA), the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACCRAO). She has served as regional treasurer of NYSFAAA for a number of years. Ms. Beltrani received her bachelor’s in social work from Adelphi University.
