Donna Neckles-Charles, MBA, MS, PhD

Director of Development

As the Director of Development, Dr. Donna Neckles-Charles serves as the liaison between the SVM and representatives from animal health companies and other professional groups on matters relating to campus visits, lectures and presentations for students,  support for student activities and awards and scholarships for veterinary students. Additionally, Dr. Neckles-Charles serves as the administrative coordinator for the SVM’s biannual White Coat, Awards, and Phi Zeta Ceremonies, and for the Island Veterinary Scholars Program.

Prior to this role, Dr. Neckles-Charles worked for eleven years as the Coordinator of Support Services in the SVM. In that role, she worked closely with the Dean on accreditation matters, served as project manager for the implementation of the SVM Strategic Plan, provided administrative support for the Dean’s Council, and coordinated the publication of Paws Print. Dr. Neckles-Charles also served as Administrator of the University’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee for eight years.

Dr. Neckles-Charles obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from St. Georges University. She also holds a MBA from Nova Southeastern University, a MS in Psychology from California Southern University, and a PhD in General Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, from Grand Canyon University.
