Director of Judicial Matters

Ms. Karina Johnson is the Director of Judicial Affairs at St. George’s University, helping to resolve both formal and informal disputes for SGU students and enforcing the University’s student conduct policies. She collaborates with the Office of the Dean of Students, the Department of Public Safety and Security, and the Department of Housing. She also works along with the Offices of General Counsel and Human Resources to ensure that the University’s personnel policies are followed.

A native Grenadian, Ms. Johnson came to SGU in 2014 after practicing criminal and civil law in her home country as well as throughout the Eastern Caribbean. She joined the University as an Assistant Dean of Students and International Student Advisor. In addition to her current role, she serves on the University’s Institutional Review Board.

Ms. Johnson serves as an attorney-at-law and notary public in Grenada. She completed her Master of Laws (LLM) in international economic law at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. She also studied at the University of the West Indies in Barbados and the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago.
