Dr. Sharianne Suepaul is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathobiology at the School of Veterinary Medicine, SGU. She delivers lectures in the Veterinary Bacteriology and Mycology course. Prior to joining SGU she worked at the School of Veterinary Medicine, the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago where she taught in both under-graduate and post-graduate courses including Veterinary Bacteriology, Research Methodology, Agri-Food Safety and Epidemiology and Foodborne Diseases.
Dr. Suepaul holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Public Health from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad. She also has a Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning.
Dr. Suepaul’s current research projects include investigating the antimicrobial activities of honey produced in Grenada and the sharing of Staphylococcus spp. between humans and their pets.
