Dr. Richard Kabuusu is a Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pathology, in the Department of Pathobiology. He is a Research Fellow at the Windward Research and Education Foundation. His research interests include molecular and infectious disease epidemiology, data management and analysis, ultrastructural pathology and wildlife diseases. His work has been published in a number of journals and he has presented at several conferences.
Dr. Kabuusu earned his DVM at Makerere University in 2000, and his MPH and PhD (fish pathology) at St. George’s University in 2002 and 2016, respectively. He is board-certified in Public Health (CPH) by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. He is a member of the American Public Health Association and American Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists.
