PUBH 859 Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights

The Sexual, Reproductive Health & Rights course introduces the history, ethical dimensions, and current scope of sexual and reproductive health-related issues, programs and policies aimed to reduce morbidity, mortality, and health disparities globally. Students will explore the social, economic and political factors affecting contraceptive use, fertility, family planning, pregnancy outcomes, sexually transmitted infections, pleasure, and sexual violence. It provides case studies to examine important problems and programs in socially diverse settings in developed and developing countries across the life course.
