SAMS 529 Clinical Neurology
This course is designed to instruct Term 4 veterinary students on the practice of Clinical Neurology, including a review of fundamental concepts consisting of anatomy, physiology, developmental embryology. histology, and pathology as they pertain to the nervous system. A strong understanding of the neurologic examination and lesion localization is stressed. Specific diagnostic tests are introduced and explained. The course will progress to teaching clinical neurologic diseases of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerve, neuromuscular junction, and muscles, including diagnosis and treatment.
