SCSK 562 Principles of Aerospace Medicine

This course is offered to Term 2 students who are interested in aerospace medicine. Students will gain experience in the following areas of aeros pace medicine:

1. Aeromedical standards to medical assessment and medical certification
2. Health and Physiological Factors as a result of aerospace conditions including vision and aeromedical decision making
3. Psychological Factors to persons and passengers associated with flight
4. Describe international travel and its role in influencing health
5. Toxicology in air travel
6. Global health and travel medicine 
7. Principles of aviation and space medicine
8. Accident investigation/risk management and mitigation
