Dr. Camila B. Dores is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathobiology. She teaches systems pathology in the DVM curriculum, provides diagnostics services at the SGU diagnostic laboratory, and participates in collaborative research. Her areas of interest and research focus include reproductive pathology and physiology, comparative biology, animal models, toxicology and spermatogonial stem cells.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dr. Dores earned her DVM from Sao Paulo State University in the class of 2005. After graduating, Dr. Dores obtained a Master’s degree studying equine embryonic stem cells and worked as a small animal clinician in emergency hospitals in Sao Paulo. In 2010, she moved to Canada where she attained a Ph.D. in Comparative Biology, and Experimental Medicine at the University of Calgary followed by a pathology residency at Oregon State University.
