Jonnel Edwards is a Demonstrator in the Aquatic Animal Medicine Research Laboratory, and is a research and teaching member of faculty in the Department of Pathobiology. She offers technical and mentorship support to students interested in aquatic animal health, and teaches exotic animal medicine and rehabilitation. Her research focuses on epidemiological and zoonotic impacts of turtles who interface with humans in the natural environment. Ms. Edwards earned her bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences with Marine Biology Specialization, and further pursued a master’s degree at St. George’s University, Grenada while working full-time in the aquatic research laboratory.
