SSCI 201 Introduction to Caribbean Studies

This interdisciplinary course is a survey of the social, cultural, economic, historical, political and technological forces that have shaped and are influencing the development of the Caribbean region. The course is pan-Caribbean in perspective but emphasizes the experiences of the Anglophone Caribbean and its Diaspora. This course will provide students with the foundation for more specialized course work in the various majors in the School of Arts and Sciences.
